🚨 “They Didn’t Say a Word” — Firefighter Reveals the Chilling Silence Inside the Ohio Home Where 16 Children Were Rescued

Posted by max - July 11, 2026
The firefighter who transported four of the 16 children rescued from the Ohio House of Horrors to hospital has spoken about what he encountered at the property, describing cockroaches and bugs crawling on the children, leaving scratches and bite marks across their skin. Captain Jeremiah Griffith of the Hamden Fire Department was one of the first five responders on the scene and said the smell inside the property was so overwhelming it stuck to his clothes for hours afterwards, saying local livestock lived in better conditions.

All four charged adults, the children’s parents and grandparents, have pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of felony child endangerment, with Gary Siders Sr. released on a recognizance bond after suffering a medical emergency in custody. The case has shocked the wider community, with neighbours saying the house did not even look like anyone was living there, and officials noting the children had no documentation, no school records and were entirely unknown to the county.
â €
Despite everything he witnessed inside the property, Griffith said the most haunting memory from the entire experience was not the physical condition of the children but something far more chilling. As he recalled: “It was just quiet. That’s what it was. Blank expressions. They didn’t know where they were going. They didn’t speak to me.”
