Shannon Beador blasts restaurant after they refused to comp $540 meal

Real Housewives Of Orange County star Shannon Beador is admitting that she was put off when a restaurant didn’t give her and Andy Cohen a free meal.

The 62-year-old reality star even said she now plans to avoid the restaurant The Quiet Woman during a recent appearance on Jamie Kennedy’s Hate To Break It To Ya podcast.

Kennedy cued up the topic when he asked about rumors that Beador and Cohen, 58, had ‘demanded free food’ at a restaurant, which appeared to stem from a claim made by Beador’s costar Tamra Judge on her Two Ts In A Pod podcast.

Judge alleged that Cohen – who recently weighed in on casting a trans woman as a Real Housewife – had been presented with a ‘$540 bill’ for their table at the Orange County, California, restaurant The Quiet Woman, and she claimed that Beador thought he shouldn’t have been required to pay for their meals because he ‘put this restaurant on the map.’

Beador claimed Judge’s account was ‘a completely exaggerated story,’ but she didn’t dispute thinking that The Quiet Woman owed them a free meal.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Beador, representatives for Bravo and The Quiet Woman to request comment but has yet to receive a response.

‘I have been frequenting this restaurant . . . for years now,’ Beador said. ‘I’ve had some scenes there that have been, I guess, memorable. But when I went to a restaurant and coordinated this dinner with six of my castmates and Andy Cohen, it’s kind of a big deal.

‘So when Andy asks for the bill, and they brought one, I was bothered by it,’ she admitted.

‘I said, “This is ridiculous. You have Andy Cohen here, who’s never been to Orange County, and he’s chosen your establishment,”‘ Beador claimed. ‘”What else do you need?”‘

However, she added, ‘It wasn’t like I was having a meltdown, but I let my opinion be known.’

After Kennedy pushed her to go on, Beador added, ‘I said, “It’s Business 101. You just had Andy Cohen in here with six housewives.”‘

Kennedy suggested The Quiet Woman could have offered Cohen and the group a ‘discount,’ and Beador indicated that a ‘free round of drinks’ or some appetizers on the house would have been a step in the right direction.

Despite her complaints that the restaurant didn’t automatically offer to wipe out the table’s bill, Beador revealed that the restaurant still comped Cohen’s bill, aside from the ‘very big tip’ that he left.

‘The manager ran up and said . . . “We’re gonna rip up the bill,” and so he came up to me, going, “We ripped up the bill.”‘

She admitted a manager vowed to rip up the bill just as Cohen was leaving, after he had paid it and left a large tip, but Beador said she was still embarrᴀssed because it should have been offered sooner; seen June 5 in Newport Beach

But Beador said that the late-stage comped meal wasn’t good enough.

‘It should’ve been discussed prior,’ she said. ‘It should’ve been figured out because it was embarrᴀssing to me.’

She went so far as to say she didn’t have any immediate plans to return to the restaurant because her party almost had to pay for its food.

‘It’s just time for me to take a break – from that restaurant,’ Beador added.

Cohen went on to share his own version of the ‘hubub’ on his SiriusXM show Radio Andy.

The Bravo mainstay appeared to signal that there were no hard feelings between him and The Quiet Woman, as he and the restaurant shared a joint Instagram post featuring an excerpt of his conversation.

‘It was the greatest night. It was so much fun,’ Cohen said of the gathering that featured Beador.

‘I loved being there with the women and the staff at The Quiet Woman. I was so happy to meet them,’ he continued. ‘I was so happy to meet the owner and the manager, and they love the Housewives, and they love what the show has done for their business.’

Cohen clarified on Radio Andy that he had ‘so much fun’ at The Quiet Woman and enjoyed the evening. ‘I happily paid the bill and left a big tip because they had so been accommodating,’ he said, even though the restaurant eventually comped his bill; seen July 21 in NYC

Cohen praised the restaurant for being so ‘accommodating’ and giving his party a prime spot at ‘the middle table where all the drama has happened over the years.’

‘I was brought the bill. I happily paid the bill and left a big tip because they had so been accommodating and I just, I love them there,’ he continued.

He added that, as he was leaving, the general manager stopped him to say, ‘The dinner is on us, by the way. We’re ripping up the bill.’

But Cohen said he urged the manager not to rip up the bill, because he wanted to make sure the waiter received their tip.

‘We figured that out, and that’s all I know,’ Cohen concluded. ‘I don’t think there’s any big kind of drama to this story.’
