A notable actress was recently spotted on a rare outing in her native Los Angeles.

She made her acting debut with a small role in the 1969 drama film They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? when she was 21 years old. 

Her biggest success came in the 1975 drama The Other Side of the Mountain, in which she portrayed ski racing champion Jill Kinmont.

The role earned her a New Star Of The Year – Actress Golden Globe in 1976.

However, she did not win for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama that same year.

This star, 78, was married to movie director Larry Peerce, now 96, from 1980-1984.

She was spotted out and about earlier this month, running errands in a white shirt, pale pink shirt, and white pants.

During the outing she wore a black cap with a wide-brim visor while toting a Sprouts grocery bag.

In addition to directing her in The Other Side of the Mountain, Peerce and the actress collaborated on 1976’s Two-Minute Warning and 1979’s The Bell Jar.

The Other Side of the Mountain Part 2 followed the original film, released via Universal Pictures in 1978.

According to IMDb, Hᴀssett suffered a grave injury while filming a commercial in 1969.

An elephant stepped on her, resulting in her being bedridden for five months, and making her a stronger candidate to portray Kinmont – whose ski career was derailed by a crash that left her paralyzed.

There were two episodes of Emergency! in 1972, and a part as a ‘car rental girl’ in 1974’s The Six Million Dollar Man.

She was also seen in Movin’ On, The Family Holvak, and H๏τel. 

The actress was in three episodes of Murder, She Wrote between 1984 and 1988.

And she played Jill McGinnis in a 1986 episode of The Hitchhiker, per IMDb.
