Excess was the name of the âEndgameâ for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelceâs love story, which culminated in a Madison Square Garden wedding this past Friday.
From shutting down a chunk of Midtown to welcoming intergenerational A-listers and raffling off a 1970 Chevelle, little about the nuptials was relatable.
Even less of it was subtle. But itâs the spectacle that continues to make it gripping to all the civilians who didnât make the guest list.
Below, hereâs what weâve learned about the most star-studded phone-free âpinch me momentâ of the year, maybe even the century.
The aesthetic
The coupleâs âwedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Womenâs, Menâs and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom,â Swiftâs rep said Friday evening, in a press release distributed to media outlets. âThis is the designerâs first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.â
Guests were given a black-tie dress code, per The New York Times.
AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron said in a lengthy, since-deleted post on both X and LinkedIn, that âeverything⌠floors, walls, ceiling⌠was draped in peach and white.â
A pair of attendees told NBC News that guests walked through a tunnel lined with pHŕšĎos of the soon-to-be-newlyweds both before and during their relationship, before entering their âSecret Garden.â Aron described them as âlarge blown up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year.â
An insider told People that The Worldâs Most Famous Arena âlooked like a forest,â which is in line with Swiftâs âfolkloreâ era.
Despite the reported 1,100 to 1,200 guests, both Aron and âGood Morning Americaâ co-anchor George Stephanopoulos described the event as having felt so âintimate.â
Per Robin Roberts, also of âGMA,â the event âwas like any other wedding you would attend.â
Mother of the groom Donna Kelce has described the event as âmagical, man, magical.â
The ceremony
An eyewitness told TMZ Swift walked down the aisle to a string rendition of one of her own songs. As The New Yorker wrote, âAfter the pop star spent years singing about imagined weddings, her life was finally catching up with her art.â
The stars each penned their own vows â which Aron found âlong, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearingâ with the Grammy winner singing for a portion of hers.
âYou would think the bride would be the one crying more, but it was actually Travis that was more emotional,â one of the guests told NBC.
Per Aron, it was clear that the couple is âso obviously head over heels about having found their soulmate.â

Who was there?
Per the release, Mr. & Mrs. Kelce â Swift-Kelce? Kelce-Swift? â âdid not have bridesmaids or groomsmen.â Swiftâs younger brother Austin was her Man of Honor, while Kelceâs big brother and âNew Heightsâ podcast co-host Jason Kelce served as his Best Man, in a ceremony âofficiated by friend Adam Sandler.â
Kelce and the Brooklyn-born âWedding Singer,â 59, worked together on 2025âs âHappy Gilmoreâ sequel.

Swift, whose recent Eras Tour film and behind-the-scenes docuseries live on Disney+, invited several Disney execs and the hosts of âGood Morning America.â (ABC is also notably owned by Disney.) The move has also fueled speculation that footage from the wedding might also find its way into theaters and, later, onto the streamer. Aronâs attendance has not convinced people otherwise.
Of the thousand-plus guests, some of the most notable include, but are certainly not limited to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, ZoÍ Kravitz, Karlie Kloss, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Adam Scott, Paul Rudd, Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambach, Jessica Chastain, The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, Dakota Johnson, Jason Sudeikis and Ethan Hawke.
Those from Kelceâs world included NFL stars like Julian Edelman, Beau Allen, Baker Mayfield, as well as sportscasters Joe Buck, Erin Andrews, and Charissa Thompson. Kelceâs coach Andy Reid as well as New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel â currently embroiled in a scandal involving former Athletic reporter Dianna Russini â were also in attendance, the latter with his wife.
Swiftâs former bestie Blake Lively was notably upstate during her rehearsal dinner and reportedly not in attendance at the wedding.
Ashley Smith, sister of Kelceâs teammate Trey Smith, announced she âended up catching Tay Tayâs bouquet.âÂ
Which stars played a role in the festivities?
In addition to Sandlerâs officiating, the Times previously reported that Swift would be performing at the reception with Stevie Nicks. Paul McCartney reportedly sang The Beatlesâ âI Want To Hold Your Hand.â

Easter eggs to Swiftâs own music
While itâs not yet been confirmed which track Swift chose to walk down the aisle to, the âJam Sessionâ podcast cited âWildest Dreamsâ as the chosen number. The song is from Swiftâs 2014âs hit â1989â â an album largely understood by Swifties to be about the superstarâs romance with Harry Styles, who is now engaged to her friend ZoĂŤ Kravitz. Styles was invited to the wedding but busy touring, though Kravitz was pHŕšĎographed en route to the wedding.
Guests were given a keepsake lace handkerchief embroidered with âJuly 3, 2026,â a T&T monogram, âNew York city,â and, on the bottom, âSo itâs gonna be foreverâŚâ That line is the start of the chorus to âBlank Space,â also a â1989â single and Kelceâs favorite of his new wifeâs canon.
Still, itâs an interesting choice, given the lyric is immediately followed by: âOr itâs gonna go down in flames.â
What did everyone eat?
Itâs unclear what everyone indulged in during the wedding itself, but for the family-style rehearsal dinner, a source told the Times that Sartianoâs catered, with meatballs, caviar cannoli, and spaghetti arrabiata among the offerings.
